Candidate Biographies & Resumés

Terry Southworth

Terry Southworth has been a Westlake resident since 1977, and she has a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters in Education from Cleveland State University.

Terry has experience as substitute teacher in Cleveland Public Schools, and was a Special Projects Coordinator in the Division of University Relations and Development at Cleveland State University

Terry is a past President of the Catholic Education Endowment Fund Advisory Board

Terry is an active community volunteer.

Terry’s spouse is Jack Southworth and she has three grown children all with advanced degrees including two lawyers and a doctor.

Russell Ezolt

Russell Ezolt is a long-time Westlake resident and he is a graduate of  the General Motors Institute with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, where he worked as a Manufacturing Process Engineer for ten years with General Motors. 

Russell became a lawyer by attending the Cleveland Marshall School of Law nights.  As a lawyer, Russ worked for the United States government for thirty-one years including five years with the Department of the Navy and twenty-five years with the U.S. Department of Justice, as Immigration District Counsel for Ohio, and then Special Assistant to the Regional Counsel.

Russell has been a Guardian Ad Litem (GAL) in Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court since 2007.  He was named GAL of the year in 2013.

Russell was involved with Odyssey of the Mind as a coach and judge for the local, regional, and state competition for over five years.

Russell has been Married to Carol since 1973 and they have two grown children both with advanced degrees.

Dr. Robert Stoll

Dr. Robert Stoll is an Assistant Professor of Operations and Supply Chain Management at Ashland University.  He earned B.S.M.E. and M.B.A. degrees from the Rochester Institute of Technology, and a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and a Ph.D. from Cleveland State University.  Bob has extensive industrial experience.

Bob is the President of APICS Cleveland, and the Vice-President of the Midwest Decisions Sciences Institute (DSI). Bob is the treasurer of his community’s homeowners association.  Bob is a co-chair for the Ashland University Strategic Planning Committee helping to steer the direction of the university for the future.

The Stoll family has lived in Westlake since 1990, and Bob’s wife, Christine, teaches nursing clinicals for Cuyahoga Community College at St. John Medical Center in Westlake. They have two daughters one currently attending Westlake schools, another recently graduated from Westlake Schools.
